LIMASSOL FOR ALL SEASONS ....... AND REASONS

The city of Limassol is centrally located. A quick glance at the map of Cyprus is only needed to realize how easily and quickly one can go all over the island with the appropriate comfort. Limassol is near airports, mountain resorts, beautiful beaches and the capital of Cyprus.

Given our central position on the island, Limassol makes the hire of solf - drive cars or motorcycles even more attractive. Needless to say, the visitor may prefer to travel by one of the buses or coaches that link the town with all major destinations. Particularly attractive are the excellent well planned excursions available.

Behind the city, whose hotels and beaches stretch for twelve miles along the south coast, there is the fantastic sight of the Troodos mountain. For at least three months during winter you have the choice of snow skiing. Driving from Limassol to Troodos it takes only fifty minutes.

Limassol always has been, right at the front of everything happening in Cyprus: historical and cultural, from King Richard the Lionheart to modern arts and wine festivals, and from a drama festival at the ancient amphitheatre of Kourion to a two weeks Carnival, both being annual events... The activities never end in Limassol.

Limassol is being a resort with unparalleled quality of hotels, hotel apartments, choice of restaurants, pubs and all means of modern entertainment with facilities and services to cater for all tastes and budgets.

Limassol is the second largest city and the centre of the islands wine - making industry. No wonder then that our slogan "Limassol for all seasons ... and reasons" why was thought up. It is the main port and the largest tourist centre. Ships call here from all over the Mediterranean, especially cruise liners from Egypt, the Holy Land and the Greek Isles...

The latest welcomed infrastructure addition to the resort of Limassol is the 2,8km Amathus Tourist Footpath which extend from the Poseidonia Hotel to the Ancient Amathus area. The path extends beneath the coastal road to the ancient archaeological sites from where a wooden bridge takes visitors to the ancient agora. A traffic - free place where residents of Limassol and visitors alike can go jogging in the morning stroll lazily in the late afternoon or evening, and enjoy the natural beauty of the Mediterranean at any time of the day.

Limassol's all-year round attractions are everywhere. It is therefore a base from which the visitors can easily operate. It is a well-known fact that very many of the visitors return - again and again...

Definitely it has got something to do with the traditional warmness and openness of the Limassolian people and our well known hospitality.
